Visiting Vermont Forest Cemetery
This is a remote location, on an unpaved road. The driveway and many trails are level and accessible, but good shoes or boots are a must! Always check the weather before setting out.
Advisory: Do Not Trust GPS.
There is very little cellular network coverage in this part of Vermont. We strongly recommend that visitors take Interstate 89 to Northfield/Williamstown (Exit 5 / Milepost Exit 43) and follow the directions below.
-
Go WEST on VT-64, towards Northfield/Norwich University
-
Stay on VT-64 till it ends at the Mobil
(there is a rest room here if you need it) -
Go RIGHT on VT-12 for just over a mile
-
Take a LEFT and stay on VT-12A for 6 miles to Roxbury Village
-
In Roxbury, turn LEFT on Tracy Hill Road
-
this is a dirt road and somewhat steep in the beginning
-
-
Continue on Tracy Hill Road to the end
-
Go RIGHT on Beaver Meadow Road
-
The Cemetery is exactly .75 miles on your RIGHT

If you prefer to use GPS–at your own risk!!–please enter Roxbury Village School (1559 Roxbury Road) as your destination and then follow the directions above from "In Roxbury..."

There are many GPS apps and devices out there, and we are doing what we can to have the manufacturers update their directions. If you do choose to ignore these recommendations and become lost, it is best to go back to Northfield, where there is cellular service, and return to this page.
